5 GREAT MARGIN TIPS

TOM SCHOLEY

1. LOOK FOR COVER
Anything casting a shadow over the water, a platform, bush, or tree is great news- fish definitely feel more confident feeding around this sort of structure.

2.
A NICE DEPTH
I
like less than 18 inches (12-16 ins if I can find iIt), tight to cover on a flat, hard bottom. Garden vegetation to give you a nice clear view if allowed to do so.

3. HEAVY FLOAT
This keeps the rig in place in the turbulence of big fish feeding in shallow water. I use a 0.4g diamond shape up to 2ft deep.

4. MAGIC MICROS
Squeez-Ready™ Method Pellets 2mm, my favourite margin feed. They’re heavier than untreated pellets + are loaded with Sensate™ for a fast response.
To make something happen I often switch to the Method Mix groundbait.

5. BE AGRESSIVE!
Feed positively to bring fish in the edge and don't sit there biteless for long periods. If you think the fish have cleared out your bait, feed again - they probably have!
