Underarm casting the feeder - what a great way to catch on commercial fisheries

Sometimes you can foul-hook a lot of fish on the pole or float close in in shallower water. Not with a feeder rod as you'll know when you get a proper bite. Trust me you'll know about it!

It's also good if its windy and the lake is towing - you get good static presentation

A 10ft feeder or bomb rod is perfect for a short chuck. I like a 30g Method or Hybrid feeder to hold on the shelf

1. STAND UP
Have enough line out so the feeder is about 12ins above the reel. Grab the feeder, hold just below the reel, bending the rod tip

2. POINT
Point where you want to go and use the bend of the rod to swing the feeder out in that direction

3. TOUCH
Touch the reel spool with your first finger to feather the rig down to land nicely with a 'plop'

4. BAIT UP
